We wish to use only the Apertis CI pipeline workflow to build source packages from Apertis GitLab and then submit them to OBS. For packages where Apertis is the upstream the simplest approach is to set them up as native packages to avoid having to generate orig tarballs and manage changes on top of them. We communicate with Barkway because it is currently the UX-agnostic layer dealing with notifications, for which mildenhall-popup-layer is a UX-specific concrete implementation. We communicate with Canterbury because we call RegisterMyApp(), and receive NewAppState and HideGlobalPopups. We communicate with mildenhall-compositor because when we receive HideGlobalPopups, we respond by telling mildenhall-compositor to stop its busy animation ("idle animation"). It is not clear why we don't cut out the middle-man and have the compositor listen for that signal directly, but that's a yak to be shaved at a later date. Bump up the dependencies on thornbury >= 0.1703.0 and mildenhall >= 0.1703.2 to use their unified headers. The bump to mildenhall >= 0.1703.2 is also needed to rely on the unification of the shared objects to avoid an error about missing symbols in libmildenhallselectionpopup.so.0. The only schema in this project was metadata about an entry point, which isn't actually anything to do with settings, and has now been replaced with a desktop entry file. Because the maintainer scripts previously copied the schema to the system directory, clean that up in the postinst. This won't be necessary in production (image-based) environments, but makes testing much easier.
