Due to the lateness of the 5.10 LTS release, the v2021pre.0 release shipped version
5.9 of the Linux kernel, which has shown a few regressions with loop devices
impacting the ability to use offline bundles for the Apertis update manager.
Experiments with the 5.10 release candidates seem to indicate that the issues
have been addressed, and a minor update to the v2021pre release is thus
planned in early January to ship the 5.10 kernel once it is released.
Once the 5.10 release has been published it has been made available in the
v2021pre repositories and included in the v2021pre.1 release, fixing the
identified regressions.
