-The release v2024dev2 will be the first based in Debian Bookworm, after the rebase effort is completed. Due to
-this fact and the early stage of this release in the release cycle the following decisions have been made:
-- The RC date for v2024dev2 was moved to 2023.06.21 in order to provide a more robust images after the rebase.
-- The RC testing will be only one day since only automated LAVA testing will be done.

+Apertis is a Debian derivative distribution geared towards the creation
+of product-specific images for ARM (both the 32bit ARMv7 and 64-bit
+ARMv8 versions using the hardfloat ABI) and Intel x86-64 (64-bit)
+systems.
+
+**Apertis v2024dev2** is the third development release of the Apertis
+v2024 stable release flow that will lead to the LTS **Apertis v2024.0**
+release in March 2024.
+
+This is the first Apertis release that is built on top of Debian Bookworm along with several
+customizations. It currently ships with the Linux kernel 6.1.x series.
+Later releases in the v2024 channel will be tracking newer kernel versions
+up to the next LTS, as well as Debian Bookworm Stable Channel.
+
+
+Test results for the v2024dev2 release are available in the following
+test reports:
